Calvet Cépages Syrah Red Wine is a French red wine with an intense bouquet of cherry and blackcurrant enhanced by a delicate spicy note. It has a powerful, well-balanced and well-structured palate. This Syrah from southern France is initially creamy with plum and deep cassis. But then it takes on darker notes with toast and cocoa bitterness, but with the balanced sweet touch of raisin. Nice, but the bitterness of the presumably charred oak staves is a little unbalanced.
