J&B Rare is made from forty-two different malt and grain whiskies to create a liquid that is naturally pale and subtle yet complex in flavor. Aged in oak casks for at least three years, the finer heart malts are aged longer to add fullness and depth of flavor, creating the unique taste of J&B Rare.
Nose: Fruity, herbaceous and aromatic on the nose, with notes of sweet apple and pear. These are perfectly balanced on the nose with the palette of American oak and just a hint of smoke.
Palate: Layers of rich vanilla, well balanced with a smooth finish. Lively and light, New Grain creates a subtle canvas for the blend. New Malt adds bodily, aromatic notes of spice and fresh fruit.
