The identity of the blend is based on the selection of different grain and malt spirits and their combination to make the final blend. The blending process is highly complex and requires a great deal of fine-tuning, as there can be significant variations between different batches, depending on ageing, cask typicity or the source water used to make the spirits. This delicate process is carried out by an expert, the Master Blender. The age of BLENDED SCOTCH WHISKY is always linked to the youngest spirit in the final blend, and must be at least 3 years old.
