The initials J. & B. stand for Justerini and Brooks, a London wine and spirits merchant established in 1749. The company has been bottling a blended whisky called J. & B. Club in the 19th century, which became the current J. & B. Rare in 1930. Rare. Made by blending no fewer than 42 whiskies, including the Speyside malts that give it character, this is a versatile scotch with herbaceous and floral notes.

J&B Rare is a Scotch whisky made from 36 single malts and 6 grain whiskies carefully blended according to Charlie Julian's recipe. Perfectly balanced, J&B is a subtle, elegant, quality whisky that's not afraid to break codes: its green bottle and yellow label clearly distinguish J&B Rare from other whiskies. A Scottish whisky born in London from the unique combination of 42 different whiskies, J&B is now the best-known whisky in France. J&B Rare is made from 36 carefully selected single malts and 6 premium grain whiskies, blended to create its characteristic mellowness, according to a recipe developed by master blender Charlie Julian. This perfectly balanced blend, in which no single flavor predominates over the others, makes J&B a subtle, elegant, quality whisky. J&B is also an unconventional whisky, not afraid to break codes: in the 1930s, J&B adopted an iconic green bottle, previously reserved for exceptional wines and spirits. The yellow label was chosen to break with the dark codes of traditional whiskies, and the red served to highlight the founders' initials.
